Ben’s friendly and approachable nature makes him a joy to be around. He’s at ease with his friends, though his confidence wanes when he is trying to impress a girl he likes or someone he looks up to.

His eagerness to please sometimes leads him to take part in risky behaviours and associate with individuals who may not have the best intentions. He’s willing to give people the benefit of the doubt and doesn’t always recognise warning signs, but with his friends by his side he knows he can be strong, yet vulnerable.

He looks to Summer and Kian for advice, who know him best.

Summer is a kind, compassionate, and empathetic individual. She’s known for her nurturing and caring nature, which extends to her role as a caregiver for her Mum. She’s the newest addition to the group and was welcomed with open arms by Ben and the others. However, when an unnerving realisation unravels the others act fast and wisely to protect her.

Ben and Summer’s relationship blossoms and is a source of support and comfort for them both.

Grace possesses a strong sense of determination – especially when it comes to defending her friends. She stands up for what she believes in and develops a relationship with Liv who supports her all the same.

She grew up and lives in the rougher part of the town where she works hard to reach her full potential. An experience where a childhood friend was imprisoned for his involvement in a fatal knife attack means that Grace is only too aware of how anyone is at risk of going down a destructive path so uses her wisdom to help people make decisions and take action.

Although he hasn’t lived in the area for long, Kian is a loyal member of the group and will go above and beyond to protect his friends. He sometimes has a tendency of saying the wrong things at the wrong time, but is generally open-minded when his attitudes are challenged.

He has a mature nature and mindset when it comes to handling situations, which stems from an incident at his old school which involved himself and his friends when a classmate’s intimate photo was leaked. Since, he has developed a growing sense of empathy and self-awareness.

Millie is a fun and strong character who people enjoy being around. She’s strong and independent having managed challenges such as a hidden disability, not having her dad around, and living through a harrowing ordeal when her brother was criminally exploited whilst still in the family home.

Millie is strongly empathetic. She enjoys gaming late at night with Kian and hanging with her friends where she knows she can be herself in a ‘judgment free’ zone.
